On July 8 & 9, 2023 I participated in the Open Atelierroute van Empel. I was a guest artist at the home and work address of Adriaan van den Berk. Adriaan has a fantastic garden where I was able to present my work.
You can always talk about the weather. It was wonderfully warm with at least 30 degrees and certainly not unpleasant to spend 2 days in a garden full of butterflies. In the morning we prepared our work and picked berries for the visitors. It was not very busy, but that gave us more time to receive everyone thoroughly. I was able to have some really nice conversations about my work, but also about small talk. At the end of the day we drank a nice glass of rosé and a very special visitor came by, a low-flying owl!
